Unveiling of Student SmartPhone App
CpS 320 students have created an iPhone/Android App for the School of Fine Arts and Communication (using the server developed by CpS 420 students).
Thursday, April 30, 2026 students from CpS 320 (Mobile Application Development) unveil their Android/iPhone application created for the Division of Music: Arts and Culture at BJU. The app has already been deployed for internal testing to the Google Play and iPhone app stores.
The students work as one team, building on the work of students from the previous semester's CpS 420 (Software Engineering—EXP). They used Flutter to develop the smart phone app, Django and MySql to create the backend database and management tools, and Docker to containerize and deploy to an Ubuntu server. Future plans include moving the Docker container to university resources.
